The Road Less Taken Album Release Concert August 2023

It was so much fun having an album release concert with fellow musicians. Had a blast and glad so many folks could come enjoy the music with us! Highlight was definitely having one of my players from my soccer team join me on stage to help me do a cover of “Wagon Wheel”.  I'll be posting videos from the concert to my YouTube site. Hope you enjoy a little bit of fun in the summer from the concert.

The Road Less Taken Debuts on Folk Chart

My new album release debuted at number 46 on the Folk Chart in September 2023. Considering this is my first attempt at radio play and I'm not very well known, it was pretty damn awesome!  Since I chose a life mostly as a physician and not a performer, I'm just happy to share my music. Hopefully I'll have a chance to share some more over the coming years. Here's a link to view the charts: https://www.folkradio.org/chart/september-2023/

Trip to Michigan with lots of singing

I go to Michigan near Traverse City every summer to refuel. Spending a week with family and friends. There's always lots of singing! Wrote one new song called, “Make Some Noise”. And at the behest of a 9 year-old girl, I did a cover of “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift! Life always has lots of twists and turns!

New Album Coming - The Road Less Taken

I'm very pleased to let you know that my new album is coming in late August. Will be released on commercial sites, for radio play and for download/purchase on my website. This is a collection of songs that tell stories spanning 4 decades. There are several love songs, a lullabye, songs from the COVID pandemic, humorous songs and those that make you think about our world. The album was recorded at Gwynn Sound and mastered at Sterling Sound. Lots of fellow musicians helped make this sound fantastic. I hope you will take a listen when it comes out!

The Warmth of a Thousand Suns (2020)

My first solo album released in March 2020 features 12 songs that I wrote over the past 40 years. It was a labor of love. Recorded at Gwynne Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio, this album features love songs, political commentary, and humor. I had several fine musicians help me out. It is really a tribute to my family who has supported my musical career over many years. Especially my daughter who encouraged and prodded me to get into the studio and make an album. I hope you enjoy it and pass it on to friends and family. To get a copy of the CD, download from this website or I can mail you a CD. The cost is $15 which includes shipping.  Also, you can find this released on commercial media sites (e.g., iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, etc.) released July 4, 2023.

My Highway Home Interview

Listen to an interview by my friend and a fabulous musician, Joe Jencks. Joe has a radio show on Folk Music Notebook which is a great place to learn about folk music. You can hear a copy of this interview at this link (coming soon). I was really touched by Joe’s interview. His kindness and support have always meant a lot to me personally. He does a great job interviewing many musicians. Hope you have a chance to hear some of his programs and get the chance to see him perform live. This interview focuses on the release of my first album, The Warmth of the 1000 Suns. To get a copy of this CD, please contact me and I’ll be happy to send you a copy.
